Desktop Companion

Private captions,
on your computer.

The Companion runs English speech recognition locally and sends captions to the Chrome extension over a private loopback connection. It is what makes Pro captions unlimited: nothing is uploaded, and nothing is metered.

Detecting your device…
The app is free and included in every paid plan — it needs the Audio Captions extension and an active one-day trial, Pro or Cloud Pro plan to run. Downloading the app alone does not unlock paid captions.
